So I was watching videos on youtube and I came across a video from one of my favourite beauty gurus, GlamLifeGuru. She did an amazing tutorial using the Wet `n Wild Lust 6 pan palette. I loved it so much I went out and bought the palette and did the tutorial the very next day :) I did take a picture of it and I thought that I would link the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJ-Dg1AXLUU
Please go check out her channel she is an amzing guru and is super funny! I always enjoy watching her videos :)
If you want me to post how I personally did the tutorial let me know and I will be happy to do it! I did follow her steps and only made slight alterations that probably didn`t make it any different from what she did.
Have a great day!!

MAC "Styledriven" and "Fall with MAC" exclusive private showing 2011
Last night I attended an exclusive showing at my local MAC store of their 3 new collections: Posh Paradise, MAC Fall Colour and Styledriven. The Posh Paradise collection has already been out for a few days now but the other 2 collections are not released until September 29 2011. However, the Styledriven collection is a permenant collection at MAC. I recieved this invitaion from one of the employees on my recent visit to the MAC store. I did purchase 3 items from these collections: 2 from the Fall with MAC collection and 1 from the Styledriven collection.
The first collection I looked at was the Posh Paradise collection. In this collection there was:
-10 Mattene lipsticks
-8 paint pots
-2 nail lacquers
What I noticed in this collection was that there were alot of deep, rich and royal colours. The lipstick majority were shades of deep reds and plums with a few nude and pink shades as well. In my opinion there was a good range of colours for these lipsticks but this collection was ideal for people interested in deeper darker shades. The paint pots in this collection were a majority of purple and blue shades. There was 2 nude shades of the paint pots but I didn't feel like they were very unique in comparison to the paint pots available in the permenant line. If you are looking for a dark paint pot or a more coloured paint pot I would recommend taking a look at this collection. Lastly the 2 nail lacquers are very pretty and I believe somewhat unique. There is only the 2 colours (a dark metallic blue and a gold) so if you are looking for these specific shades I would reccomend checking out these colours.
The next collection I looked at was the Styledriven collection. This collection was quite large I felt and there was a nice mix of lip and eye products available. In this collection there was :
-16 pro longwear eyeshadows
-12 pro longwear lip cremes
-9 pro longwear lip glasses
-10 pro longwear lip pencils
- the 239 eye shader brush
Throughout this collection I thought there was a nice range of shades available in all of the products. The eyeshadows ranged anywhere from nude highlight colours to dark liner and crease colours with a few bright colour options thrown in. These eyeshadows are double in size compared to the regular MAC shadows and so do cost more but are a better deal price wise considering how much product you get. The pro longwear lip cremes also had a nice range of shades but I did notice that most of them had a slight brown undertone and most were darker then expected from looking at the swatches online. With the lipglasses however there was a nice range of pinks, nudes, a few reds and even some purples. These lipglasses were also very pigmented and didn't require alot of product to get a good colour payoff. With the lip pencils there was a nice range as well of pinks and reds. I don't use lip pencils alot but if you are looking for one I would definetly reccomend this collection. This collection was my favourite out of all of the ones that were on display last night mainly because there was a big range of colour choices for anyone looking for more neutral shades, darker shades or even a bright colour.
Lastly was the MAC Fall Colour collection. This collection was also really large but instead had alot of bright shades with a few neutral shades thrown in. In this collection there was:
- 1 new fluidline
- 8 pigments
- 2 eyeshadow quads
- 5 eyeshadows
- 4 lipsticks
- 4 lipglasses
- 1 mascara
- 1 eyebrow pencil
- 1 jumbo eyeliner pen
- 1 kohl power eyepencil
- 4 chromographic pencils
- 2 mineralized skinfinishes
- 1 set of eyelashes
- the 168 brush
This collection had a really nice range of products. There wasn't just eyeshadows and lip colours in it but were some liners and face products as well. I liked alot of this collection even though I usually go for the more neutral shades. There was a broad spectrum of colours in this collection and there seemed to be a little something for everyone. I would definetly reccomend this collection for people who are just starting out with MAC products and want to try a little of everything. I have also heard great things about the kohl power pencil that was released and I may be going back for it before this collection disappears.
So, the purchases I made from these collections were:
- Pro longwear eyeshadow from the Style Driven collection in "Keep your Cool"
- Lipglass in "Good Times" from the MAC Fall Colour collection
- Pigment in "Tan" from the MAC Fall Colour collection
So far I am really enjoying them and I reccomend them all :)
Not meaning to end on a sad note but I have recently lost my lipglass in "Good Times" (I think I dropped it at the airport when I was flying home) but I have dropped some not so subtle hints to my mom and will hopefully be getting it(again! :P) for christmas.
So that is just a brief overview of my thoughts on the newest MAC Collections. If you have any questions please leave them below and I will be sure to answer them as soon as I can. Have a great day! :D
PS- I know I am uploading this really late but I thought better late than never !

Makeup of the Day- September 23 2011
Today I went for a neutral look again. Hope you like it :)
Eyes: I used the new Maybelline quad I picked up in "Enchanted Forest". I used it pretty much how they show you how to use it except I used the burgundy shade in the outer corner not as a liner. I made sure to blend well. I curled my eyelashes and applied 2 coats of the Falsies mascara.
Lips: I kept it simple with my NYX megashine lip gloss in "Beige".
Face: I did my usual foundation routine and then applied Hard Candy's boxed blush in "Smooth Talker" to the apples of my cheeks.

Makeup of the day-Sept. 22 2011
So I thought I would start to keep a journal of the makeup look I do everyday. Hopefully you like it :)
Today I went for a more neutral look (as I do most days) and I really wanted to use a few of the new items I recently picked up from MAC.(See the post before this for details on my recent MAC visit)
Eyes: - on the lid I used Covergirl's "Tapestry Taupe" single eyeshadow and I blended my new MAC prolongwear eyeshadow in "Keep Your Cool" into the crease and outer corner. I made sure to blend well as the MAC shadow is quite pigmented and is a darker shade. I then used Wet'n wild's single shadow in "Brulee" on the brow bone and inner corner making sure to blend it into the crease. I curled my lashes and applied 2 coats of Maybelline's The Falsies mascara.
Lips: - I kept it simple with a light application of my new MAC lipglass in "Good Times".
Face: I did my usual foundation routine (I will go into more detail in a future post). I then applied a light application of my NYX blush in "Angel" to the apples of my cheeks and toward my temples. I skipped bronzer today.
